Portrait of Ryan Fitzstevens, Care Team coach

Ryan Fitzstevens

he/him

Each of us is so much more beautiful and complex beyond the surface of what most others will see. We are a mosaic of bits and pieces of joy, sorrow, dreams, hopes, disappointment that form together to make us who we are and tell our story. I look forward to walking alongside you and hearing your story so far and dreaming about how you, the author, want to write the rest of it.

Part of my story: I was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. When I moved to the United States, I felt alone in my depression and anxiety. I found my voice in poetry and tuned into the beauty of nature and what I could learn from the story it is telling. In 2009, I moved to Chico and graduated with my master’s in social work in 2013. I have worked in residential group homes, Children’s Services, adoptions, and since 2018 I have worked in schools as a mental health clinician. I enjoy evening walks with my family, basketball, disc golf, coffee, lifting weights, going to farmer’s market, reading, gardening, good food and recently running has become an important part of my self-care.
