WILDFIRE RELIEF & RECOVERY FUND

Years of extreme wildfires have created hardships in our region, with each successive wildfire compounding the problem. This fund exists to provide rapid assistance when a wildfire hits our area and also to help in resiliency efforts to prepare for or prevent the next fire.

The Wildfire Relief & Recovery Fund exists to raise money to support nonprofits and agencies doing the fire recovery and prevention work in the region. Since the devastating Camp Fire in Butte County in 2018, our region has suffered immensely. Wildfires have become more and more dangerous, happen more frequently and are incredibly destructive. The impact of these fires has been felt by everyone in our region, and it will take many years of collaborative work for us to rebuild and revitalize homes, health and wellbeing for all of our neighbors

This fund allows us to work collaboratively with the nonprofit, government, philanthropic and private sectors to accelerate recovery and rebuilding to create a thriving, resilient and even stronger region.

This fund was opened so foundations, businesses and individuals can make donations to help vulnerable members of our communities during and after this crisis – and even before. NVCF collects a 5 percent service fee on donations to this fund to administer the effort.
