NVCF Leadership Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for consideration for an award the applicant must:
• Be graduating from a high school in Butte, Colusa, Tehama or Glenn counties
• Be enrolled in an accredited college or university
Must Provide
Essay: Please attach two essays of no more than 500 words.
• For the first essay, please answer the following question: What makes a good leader? How will you exhibit these qualities in your chosen field?
• For the second essay, please choose one of the following prompts.
• Describe a time that you encountered a challenge in a leadership capacity and how that challenge was addressed.
• What is the best advice you have ever received?
• How will you apply it as you pursue your goals?
• What is one misconception people often have about leadership?
• Describe a leader who inspires you. How can you apply their leadership style in your own pursuits?
