The primary purpose of this fund shall be to promote, through performances, the art of music in the North Sacramento Valley.

The Florestan Society is a league of patrons named after one of Robert Schumann’s alter egos, the fiery romantic who constantly battled complacency in the arts. In 2015 the Florestan Society Foundation was established as a 501c(3) within the North Valley Community Foundation. Through the fund, the society mainly hosts recitals of chamber music performed by accomplished musicians.
