Altacal Audubon Elizabeth I. Brown Scholarship Fund
The primary purpose of the Fund shall be to award scholarships to college-bound graduating seniors enrolled in public schools in Butte, Glenn, and Tehama Counties who plan to attend a college/university in California, students entering their junior or senior year enrolled in a college in California, and camperships for youths. The scholarship will seek to promote the awareness, appreciation, and protection of native birds and their habitats through education, research, and environmental activities.
With a most generous bequest from Elizabeth I Brown, Altacal Audubon Society will be providing student scholarships and camperships to youth in Butte, Glenn, and Tehama County.
College or college bound students whose educational goals are related to conservation, ornithology, wildlife, habitat studies, and the earth and environmental sciences, are encouraged to apply so wildlife can thrive.
We know that engaging youth with the natural world on a regular basis can make a huge difference in their health and well-being. Camperships will make it possible for youth to attend nature camps regardless of their ability to pay.
