Hi, I’m Justin De La Cruz!
I’ve called Chico home for the past four years. Originally from Moreno Valley, I moved here to pursue graduate school after earning my B.A. in psychology from San Jose State University in 2021. I recently completed my master’s in psychology and am excited to continue growing personally and professionally in this community.

Along with my role on the Care Team, I work full-time as an associate marriage and family therapist at a local group practice and part-time as a crisis specialist with Glenn County. I’m passionate about using my energy, empathy and resilience to help people heal, grow and find strength within themselves. Having experienced grief and loss early in life, as well as the challenges of parental separation and my own journey through depression and anxiety, I strive to combine my lived experience and education to make a meaningful, lasting impact. My goal is to create connection through understanding.

Outside of work, I love to stay active — the gym, bodybuilding, and boxing are a huge part of my life. I grew up above a gym and have been surrounded by the fitness world since childhood. I also enjoy video games, hiking, exploring new cities, discovering good tea and music, and recently started riding my first motorcycle. Staying engaged with my hobbies is a key part of my self-care — and I always love hearing what others are passionate about, too.
