Hi, I’m Jon Yunker — where skateboards meet heart and healing.

I’ve spent more than 20 years in the skate world, and I’m still rolling strong. From Skate MD to CARD Skateboarding Camp, I’ve made it my mission to bring wheels, smiles and confidence to kids of all abilities. Whether I’m teaching a nervous first-timer how to drop in or cheering on a fearless shredder landing a new trick, I see skateboarding as so much more than balance — it’s about belonging.

A skateboard builds the kind of resilience no classroom can teach — a mix of failed tries, big laughs and “I did it!” moments that stick for life. Through my work with the Care Team, I get to keep that same spirit alive: creating spaces where every kid — regardless of skill, ability or background — feels the rush of inclusion and the pure joy of the ride.

When I’m not on a board, you can usually find me outdoors, spending time with family and friends, or planning the next community skate event. No matter where I am, my goal stays the same — helping people find confidence, connection and a little bit of freedom on four wheels.
