Annual Report 2019-2020
More than $22 million was raised by the North Valley Community Foundation in the past year, and more than $25 million in grants were issued for projects that made our world a better place.
These are among the interesting items in our 2019-2020 Annual Report, which encompasses the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2020.
Annual Report 2020-2021
North Valley Community Foundation has awarded nearly $45 million in grants for community recovery since the Camp Fire, more than $3 million to address the COVID-19 pandemic and more than $600,000 for Bear/North Complex Fire projects so far. And we are still awarding grants on all fronts.

Dixie Fire Impact Report
Cooperation has been vital with Dixie Fire recovery efforts. Many organizations received donations from across the country. Sixteen organizations recognized that pooled resources could have a larger impact and organized the Dixie Fire Funders Roundtable. Read about a few of the programs funded by the roundtable.
Strengthening the Safety Net in Butte County
The California Community Foundation and North Valley Community Foundation, with the help of csb consulting, have produced a report titled “Strengthening the Safety Net in Butte County – Findings and Recommendations.”
We hope this thorough and alarming statistical analysis can be a tool for advocacy, collaboration and development of a deeper understanding of how Butte County rebuilds its social safety net after the devastating Camp Fire.
Greenville Town Center Design Guidebook
This guidebook summarizes the Phase 2 work completed by LMNOP Design, SERA Architects and a team of architecture interns throughout the summer of 2023, building off of Phase 0 [Discovery] and 1A [Visioning] reports as well as continued community feedback.
This guidebook was created in service to the community, and is meant to provide Greenville with recommendations for building practices that are in line with community needs.
Six-month Camp Fire Relief & Recovery Report

Bear/North Complex Fire Impact Report
The Berry Creek and Feather Falls areas remain in the long-term recovery mode after the Bear Fire in 2020, but more than $1.1 million in grants from NVCF has helped jumpstart the process. Learn more about the projects funded through the North Complex Fire Grant Program.
Disaster Recovery Blueprint for Philanthropic Organizations
NVCF has created a 35-page guide for organizations that are thrust into a disaster response and recovery role after fires, floods and other disasters. The blueprint answers questions about how a small community foundation transformed into the lead philanthropic organization responding to the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California history (the Camp Fire) and several other disasters.
Plumas County Social Safety Net Needs Assessment
The need for a social safety net assessment was identified by the Dixie Fire Funders Roundtable. These funders collectively held concerns about the fragility of the safety net in Plumas County in the wake of the devastation of the Dixie Fire. This analysis was made to assist nonprofit organizations open to innovation, adaptive strategies and collaborations to better serve populations most in need.
