DONNA MURRILL WILDFIRE FUND
Donna Murrill, a longtime Durham resident, died in 2022 and left a gift in her estate to NVCF for wildfire recovery and response work.
Her fund has contributed to fire recovery efforts in the past — for example, after the Park Fire and Thompson Fire. In addition to immediate relief, NVCF offers this annual Donna Murrill grant program for special wildfire projects.

She decided to leave part of her estate – more than $1.7 million – to NVCF for future wildfire recovery efforts. The Donna Murrill Fund has awarded grants of more than $100,000 to several organizations.
