The primary purpose of this fund is to enhance the charitable contributions to Serene Strides through NVCF's website and services.
Note to donors: North Valley Community Foundation (NVCF) provides this page for the convenience of the charitable organization noted above. Donors are provided an electronic tax receipt by NVCF shortly after the donation is made. An administrative fee of 5% is deducted from the donation as well as the fee charged by the card processing company, and the net amount is sent to the charitable organization not later than 30 days after the end of the month in which the donation is made. All amounts sent to the charitable organization are for its discretionary use.

Serene Strides provides social/emotional learning for youth, seminars for graduate students, wellness groups for community members, and teaches resiliency skills for participants of all ages through the inclusion of horses in experiential therapies and skill building activities. As social workers, college faculty, and horsewomen with decades of experience in the Butte County community as well as graduates from the University of Denver- Equine Assisted Mental Health Practitioner Certificate Program, we have the unique skills, relationships, and trauma-informed lens to make a real impact for those who engage in our programs.
