Victoria Nicole Malone Memorial Scholarship Fund

This $500 annual scholarship is offered in memory of Victoria Nicole Malone, loving daughter, sister and friend. This scholarship is financed by those who loved Victoria (“Tori”) and by those who continue to love and honor her memory. For the majority of her life, Victoria was raised in Paradise, California until the Camp Fire of 2018 when she relocated with family to Chico, ultimately settling in Oroville. She was a part-time Butte College student, with a love for the arts (film and photography), psychology and the sciences (particularly oceanography). Victoria passed June 20, 2024 at the age of 26 after a recent diagnosis of a glioblastoma brain tumor.

It is the aim of this scholarship to support the type of spirit and determination required for young people to realize their dreams and is available to graduating seniors (from any Butte County charter school or traditional high school) entering a trade school, community college or four-year institution. Scholarships will be announced during the School’s award ceremony or by contacting the recipient directly.
