Campaign Message

Valley Oak Children's Services has remained safely open and fully staffed throughout the entire duration of the COVID-19 pandemic to support families, children, child care providers, and the community. We recognize that child care is essential to the economic recovery of Butte County and the 961 families and 1,768 children we currently serve across our Alternative Payment Program.

We have quickly modified existing programs and utilized grants to implement new services. As a result, we have been able to safely and efficiently distribute services and supplies, including but not limited to: Child Care Vouchers for essential workers, weekly check-in calls to families, Parent Café Pop-Ups distributing bags of non-perishable food as well as virtual cafe's, delivered resources bags and PPE monthly to child care providers in Butte County, Community Resource Room Pop-Ups, gift cards, and most importantly a listening ear and individualized case management services. Our staff is also offering virtual trainings and workshops for child care providers and families in our community.

Your donation will ensure that we can continue these modified services and the need arises. On average, a bag of non-perishable food cost $15. And our resource bag, which is filled with activities, arts and crafts, and more, cost $10. With the holiday season around the corner, our families and community will be in need of our resource bags, bags of non-perishable food, books, diapers, and essential care items more than ever. 100% of your donation will go to supporting families, children, providers, and our community.

Valley Oak Children's Services is committed to supporting our families, child care providers, and community!
