Until the Week of Giving
Homelessness is a growing problem in our community. Data reported in the annual PIT (Point in Time) count in March 2019 shows that our county’s unsheltered homeless population is growing. With the state housing crisis and multiple devastating wildfires, many individuals have found themselves experiencing homelessness again, precariously housed, or experiencing homelessness for the first time.
That’s where True North Housing Alliance comes in. We work hard to provide vital services and resources for those experiencing homelessness to help them move forward and secure housing. Each year, we serve 900 individuals at our emergency shelter, the Torres Community Shelter, and house approximately 200 individuals. We serve a diverse group of people: single adults, families with children, transitional-aged youth and seniors with chronic health conditions.
With your help, we can continue providing our vital, core services and expand our reach to better respond to the crisis our community is experiencing, improving the health and safety for everyone in Butte County.
We move people forward, out of homelessness, with compassion, dignity and accountability.
