Butte-Glenn 2-1-1 is a trusted and reliable 24-hour live Telephone Helpline that helps our community members access crucial support services. When someone calls 2-1-1, we locate resources and connect them to the help they need.
Our local Community Resource Specialists have talked with thousands of community members and provide referrals for all types of support programs including: food pantries and free meals, seasonal clothing and supplies, rent assistance, utilities payment assistance, emergency shelter, in home care for elders, counseling and support groups, emergency financial assistance for disaster survivors, parenting support programs, free diapers for infants and adults, re-employment programs, trip planning on the B-Line bus, health clinics for immunizations and well care, testing sites for COVID19, protective services for elders and people with disabilities, holiday assistance programs, and much more.
Butte 2-1-1 is also the contact center for the Butte County First 5 Help Me Grow program and for Butte County’s homelessness housing wait list.
Butte-Glenn 2-1-1 is a primary connection and support for Fire survivors in our communities. We have responded to more than 45,000 calls and texts since the devastating Camp Fire. Each time our community is impacted by disaster,- whether it’s fire, flood, or pandemic, 2-1-1 responds as a point of contact for accurate public safety information and referrals to relief and recovery services. We work in partnership with the County, CalFire, Sheriff’s Office, and hundreds of community organizations also responding. 2-1-1 continues each day to help Fire survivors with their immediate needs as well as supporting them in their long term recovery from catastrophic loss and trauma.
Anyone can call or text 2-1-1 for live help. Our Telephone Helpline is open 24/7, 365 days a year. We are here for our most vulnerable community members and for anyone seeking support for themselves, a family member, or a friend. 2-1-1 services are non-judgmental, confidential and multilingual. We rely on grants and community donations to operate local 2-1-1 services.
