The Chico Community Observatory provides access to the public, young, and old alike, to come to explore and enjoy the universe through our telescopes and learn from our volunteers about what they are seeing. The public can learn, free of charge, about the constellations, planets, asteroids, comets, stars, galaxies, the Big Bang, space exploration and other amazing celestial events and phenomena. It is our mission to be part of the greater public good to learn about and promote astronomy and science, and allow the public to view first hand the special wonders of the night sky.
