North Valley Housing Trust

Fund Purpose

The North Valley Housing Trust provides a home and a support network for those in need. We are currently addressing homelessness, which is a crisis that negatively impacts our entire community. We use local donations to leverage funding sources from outside our community to address Butte County’s most critical housing needs. For example, we combined $10,000 in local donations with $650,000 in bank investments to secure a $500,000 State grant.

More Info

Our first project that addresses this need, called Valley View Apartments, broke ground in April of 2016. We provided a $300,000 predevelopment loan and a $300,000 permanent loan to make this project possible, which will be owned by Northern Valley Catholic Social Service and Palm Communities. It will provide 14 one-bedroom apartments for individuals who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness, with supportive services provided by the project owners and Butte County Behavioral Health. This project will provide a model for future collaborations that will address our community’s most pressing housing needs. Your donations will help us in continuing our mission to increase supportive housing projects in Butte County.
