More Info

As our nation continues to grieve over the senseless murders of members of the African American community, a group has gathered with the vision of performing an act of service with the intention of making a statement as to the better side of us as Americans, and in this case, citizens of Chico.

The leadership at Bethel AME church has had a dream to one day restore their building’s steeple and bell tower to its original 1863 condition. After three building relocations, the building lost its bell tower and steeple. This love offering will be made with the attempt to come in the opposite spirit of the hate and bigotry, and honor the lives lost with this tangible symbol of our love and respect for the African American community.

Even with all the volunteer work that will be donated, the entire project will exceed $100,000.00. This would truly be a love offering from our community.
