The Clexa Project

The Clexa Project will be exploring how the mainstream media industry misrepresents, baits, and erases diverse LGBTQ+ characters, specifically queer women and their corresponding relationships. We are demanding that all stories be celebrated, and wish to educate others of this demand through the production of a feature length documentary. Funds generated through the North Valley Community Foundation will be utilized for all pre-production, production, and post-production costs. With the support and participation of various stakeholders in the movement for positive LGBTQ+ representation, we will be producing this film with the intention of cultivating a culture that humanizes diverse communities and challenges limiting media stereotypes.

Using the Assertive Community treatment model (ACT) CTRT will coordinate services and service providers to provide necessary services to aid the consumer in removing barriers. Using the ACT model CTRT will prioritize needed services based on greatest need and give preferential treatment to those with the most immediate and pressing health issues. CTRT Street Outreach is a person centered program. Placing strong emphasis on what the consumer wants and believes needs to be achieved and in what order to break the repetitive cycle of homelessness. Through the field assessment process CTRT will make an effort to triage the consumer based on the immediate and critical needs of the individual. CTRT will assist all program participants to locate and obtain emergency shelter taking into consideration restrictions/barriers/policies of local shelters to ensure the consumer gets to services best suited to their needs. CTRT utilizing the ACT model will serve as a temporary case manager coordinating and facilitating services for the consumer. CTRT assistance with medical appointments, legal requirements and other prioritized needs consists of but not limited to help in making or obtaining the appointments, transportation, kennel services, advocacy and follow up.
