More Info:

Slow Theatre requires a deliberate approach to artistic production involving outreach in the Northern California community to find stories within our region, published research to bring contextual understanding to our artists and audiences, multiple readings of the script within ever widening circles of our community to prompt critical dialogue, and workshopping the text before it reaches the the full rehearsal process.

Slow theatre practice also includes providing opportunities for continuing education to youth and adults in the crafts of acting, directing, design, stage management, and dramaturgy. Slow theatre suggests a commitment to process: the slow development of production by stage managers, dramaturgs, actors, directors, producers, the board, and our audience.
