Fund Purpose

The Greater Chico Homeless Task Force acts as a regular venue for civic collaboration and the exchange of information concerning issues related to homelessness.

We provide a space where health and social service professionals, interested community members, and people experiencing homelessness can come together to assess the current services available and fill in the gaps by joining with other committed local partners including law enforcement, non-profit and philanthropic organizations, churches, and housing providers.

“BECAUSE HOUSING IS A BASIC HUMAN RIGHT, THE GREATER CHICO HOMELESS TASK FORCE MEMBERS WILL COLLABORATE IN ORDER TO PROBLEM SOLVE, PLAN, ADVOCATE AND WORK TOGETHER TO REMOVE BARRIERS/INCREASE ACCESS TO SAFE AND DECENT HOUSING AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FOR THE HOMELESS OR THOSE AT RISK OF HOMELESSNESS.”
-Task Force Vision Statement 2013
