Medical Community Support

Colon cancer can actually be prevented through screening. Polyps can be removed before they turn cancerous. Screening can also improve survival chances dramatically--colon cancer’s survival rate is 90% when found early. Swing Fore a Cure’s awareness program helps emphasize the importance of proper testing and screening protocols in the North Valley.

Stephen F. Pearce, M.D.

Early detection is the best protection and greatly expands treatment options. Therapies for early stage cancers are often less invasive and less disruptive to daily activities as well as having higher rates of successful cure. Swing Fore a Cure’s early detection effort helps bring that message home to many in the North Valley
