Community Foundation Offers Help on Starting a Nonprofit
Chico, California (December 2, 2008) – Starting December 9, community members have the opportunity to participate in monthly consultations on “How to Start a Nonprofit”. This service is provided by the North Valley Community Foundation’s Nonprofit Leadership Institute.
Anyone interested in creating a nonprofit organization is encouraged to attend. If you are considering starting a nonprofit organization, or have taken the first steps toward creating one, this service is suited for you.
NVCF staff will provide a one-on-one interview and informational session with participants. This will provide an overview of what you need to create a nonprofit organization, including legal requirements, mission statement, vision casting and building a productive board of directors.
