Resource Development for the Nonprofit Organization: Is it all about the money? Fundraising is rarely seen as a perk of working at a nonprofit organization. More grey hairs and furrowed brows come from raising money than from anything else. This training will help organizations deal with the seemingly endless shortage of operating and program funds. Participants will learn ways to improve annual fundraising, including special events, direct mail, and major donor efforts.  Laura Cootsona, the Foundation’s Nonprofit Consultant will introduce the topics of planned giving and capital campaigns. The course will provide new ways of planning, creative ways to shift old habits, and methods to communicate the organization’s story to increase community awareness and financial support. This class benefits both staff and board members regardless of organizational size.
