Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has proposed balancing the California State Budget for Fiscal Year 2008-09 by making severe cuts to funding for all state departments and services. The impact of his proposals – if passed by the state legislature – will be profound and devastating to our communities. This is an opportunity to learn more about the impacts these cuts will have in our community and how we can work together to prevent this impending disaster.
Community Services Proposed for Cuts:
Healthcare + Childcare+Children’s Services+Education+Disability Services+Elder Services+Mental Health+In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) and more.
Refreshments will be served
Please make requests for reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities to 893-8527 no later than July 16, 2008
