North Valley Community Foundation, sponsor of the Annie B’s Community Drive, is partnering with the Downtown Chico Business Association, on this special Thursday Night Market event.
August Trainings Help Local Nonprofits During Hard Times
Chico, California (August 6, 2009) – Local nonprofit leaders have the opportunity to participate in two trainings in August provided by the Nonprofit Leadership Institute, a program of North Valley Community Foundation. On Monday, August 17, the topic will be “Securing Your Future; How to Integrate Planned Giving Throughout Your Nonprofit.” On Friday, August 21, the topic will be “Collaboration as a Grant Strategy for Small Non-Profits in a Highly Competitive Environment.”
Annie B’s Community Drive Opens for Donations
Chico, California (August 6, 2009) – Annie B’s Community Drive has started, with over 170 charitable causes in Butte, Glenn, Tehama and Colusa counties participating in this program to stimulate donations. North Valley Community Foundation is challenging our region with $500,000 in percentage grants (over five years) for local nonprofits. The Annie B’s Community Drive is designed to encourage giving to local nonprofits during a two-month donation period, August 1 - September 30.
The North Valley Community Foundation will hold the second annual Swing Fore a Cure golf tournament Monday, Sept. 14, at Butte Creek Country Club, designed to create awareness of the benefits of early cancer detection.
Deadline Nears for Annie B’s Sign ups

Chico, California (May 26, 2008) – All local nonprofit organizations are invited to participate in a North Valley Community Foundation grant program that adds money to contributions received between August 1 and September 30. The Foundation is offering an estimated $100,000 in percentage grants for nonprofits in Butte, Glenn, Tehama and Colusa counties. This includes schools, volunteer fire departments, churches, 4-H, service clubs and any other nonprofit organization.
