Is it all about the Money? Training to Strengthen Nonprofits

Chico, California (May 2, 2008) – Local nonprofit leaders will have the opportunity to participate in training provided by the Nonprofit Leadership Institute, a program of North Valley Community Foundation. On Friday, May 23, the topic will be “Is it all about the money? Resource Development for the Nonprofit Organizations.” The facilitator for this session will be Laura Cootsona, consultant to nonprofit organizations and Trainer for the Nonprofit Leadership Institute.

Chico, California (April 9, 2008) – Local nonprofit leaders will have the opportunity to participate in a training provided by the Nonprofit Leadership Institute, a program of North Valley Community Foundation, on April 25. The topic will be “Preparing to Plan”, designed to give nonprofit leaders the knowledge and skills required to implement and manage an effective strategic planning system. This class will be presented by Scott Winter, Vice President of business development for LearningChange.

Community Foundation Creates Local International Humanitarian Council

Chico, California (March 10, 2008) – A new group has been formed by North Valley Community Foundation to bring together local individuals who are active in international humanitarian efforts. This group, the North Valley International Humanitarian Council, will meet on a quarterly basis to share information, explore common goals, and strengthen local community members’ efforts to improve people’s lives throughout the world.
