06/11/2010 - 3:00pm
Etc/GMT-8

Sponsored by the Big Chico Creek Watershed Alliance

The purpose of this field trip is to highlight environmental stewardship projects around the Forest Ranch area that are implemented to improve watershed health.  The field trip will stop at 6 projects done by 6 different groups, ranging from habitat restoration and water quality sampling, to best management practices for road maintenance and invasive broom removal.  At each location local experts will be discussing project specifics and the positive impacts they have.

You will also get a chance to see a geothermally heated and cooled Dome Home, visit a quiet little section of Big Chico Creek, and eat a geologically themed organic lunch!
