All nonprofit staff and volunteers are welcome to join us for our next quarterly meeting of the North Valley Nonprofit Council. This meeting will take place from 2:30-4:30PM at the new Beatniks Cafe, 1387 E 8th Street (formerly the Market Cafe). The topic will be "Encouraging donations during hard times: maximizing returns from the Annie B's Community Drive." This will be a chance to sign up and to hear from organizations that have been successful with Annie B's.

This class offers nonprofits a chance to move into the Web 2.0 environment. New and established nonprofit organizations will learn about blogs, content management systems, semantic web design, twitter and the like. Don Peterson worked for a year to understand his unique audience and to design this course to fit the nonprofit sector. His not-so-secret hope is to bring many of these organizations out of the dark ages and into the low cost access to web technology that can serve the organization’s marketing, advocacy and development needs.
